This new comedy drama starring Chris O’Dowd and Kevin Bishop for ITV2, was produced by Izzy Mant and directed by Elliot Hegarty. DOP, Pete Rowe and his regular team of Ali Upcraft and Ian Pearce shot the comedy, which is based around a radio station and features a weekly live performance from one of the country’s leading musical artists.


Grown Ups / BBC Entertainment

Grown Ups; a comedy about a group of friends living in Manchester and hurtling towards their thirties. They are suddenly beset with life's difficult questions, and are all trying, unsuccessfully, to be grown ups.
DOP,
Ben Wheeler shot the series under Ben Kellett’s direction with Paul O’Connell pulling focus.


The Thick of It
(Series 3) / BBC Entertainment



After completing the critically acclaimed feature film In the Loop, a Hollywood cinema version of the BBC comedy drama series, it’s back to ‘leafy Hertfordshire’, and the small screen for DOP Jamie Cairney. Greg Duffield, Gary Rogers and Tom Vincent make up Jamie’s camera team.
The series will be produced by Adam Tandy and directed by Armando Ianucci.



Comic Relief Sketches
/ Comic Relief

Electra was proud and privileged to be asked to provide kit and crew for many of the comedy sketches and factual appeals that featured in the evenings fund raiser.  DOP Damien Bromley shot the hilarious ‘Smithy/England football team’ sketch, Pete Rowe shot the Harry Potter and Al Murray sketches and an interview with Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson. Jon Wood shot the appeals.


The Kevin Bishop Show (Series 2) / Objective Productions




Shooting of the second series of the very popular Channel 4 sketch show, The Kevin Bishop Show has just been completed. With new director, Dominic Brigstocke on board and regular series producer Lee Hupfield back at the helm, the new series looks to be another hit. Pete Rowe heads the camera team with focus puller Ali Upcraft, assistant Ian Pearce and trainee Ben Banayo supporting.


Spendingtons
( Online Comedy )/ BBC New Comedy

DOP Jon Wood with his assistant Ollie Wright and sound recordist, Stuart Piggott, headed off to the ‘glamorous world of Essex’ to shoot a new online comedy for the BBC New Comedy department. An ensemble piece based in a supermarket, the pilot was produced by John Pocock and directed by Natalie Bailey.


Big Babies (Pilot)/ BBC New Comedy



The Broken Biscuits comedy group, starred in this new CGI based comedy pilot for BBC New Comedy. The pilot was directed by John Riche and produced by Catherine Gosling. The hilarious show was shot by DOP’s Jeremy Hewson and Pete Rowe and assisted by Ian Chisholm, Ali Upcraft, Ian Pearce and Nathan Waters. Sound was recorded by David Ferguson.

Top Gear
(Series 13) / BBC Entertainment



6.5 million people are tuning in to watch BBC2’s flagship show.  The series featured guests such as Michael Schumacher, Michael McIntyre, Jay Leno, Usain Bolt and Stephen Fry in The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.
Other features include: Jeremy, Richard and James compete in an epic London-to-Edinburgh race, a terrifying French ice race, are classic cars more fun than modern machinery? And Jeremy Clarkson and James May are set the task of creating a TV advert for Volkswagen.

Award winning director, Louise Osmond directed DOP Jeremy Hewson on this very sensitive and moving film, following families coming to terms with the horrific murders of loved ones in foreign countries.

Engineering Connections / Darlow Smithson

Richard Hammond travels the world on a quest to find the Engineering Connections behind the worlds most advanced structures. Cameramen Paul Williams and Pete Allibone shot the series on Sony HDW750’s.            

Big, Bigger, Biggest / Windfall Films

This landmark engineering series explores the inventions that enable superstructures to evolve in size and scale. Shot on location around the country with the Panasonic HDX900 by DOP Jon Wood.

Congratulations to Electra DOP, Steve Albins, on winning the 2009 IVCA Gold Award for Best Cinematographer.

Steve has just completed shooting the promotional film for the July 2009 launch of the new Jaguar XJ for Tangerine Films/Euro RSCG, shot on the Red camera.

Shooting has been completed for the promo for the debut single from musical artiste, Scarlette.  Pete Rowe lensed the shoot with Ali Upcraft pulling focus and Ben Banayo assisting. Graham Tait was playback op. The promo comprised of an amalgamation of film, 3-D, animation and illustration.
