Taking The Flak / BBC Entertainment


DOP Pete Rowe and his team of Mark Sneddon and Ian Pearce headed out to the harsh and extreme conditions of Tanzania to shoot this new BBC comedy.  Based on the trials and tribulations of a team of journalists trying to send back their nightly reports for the BBC News at Ten, not easy in an African war zone!!!!

HORNE AND CORDEN is a new character comedy sketch show for BBC3, written by and starring James Corden and Mathew Horne. 
The hottest comedy duo in Britain right now, these two are best known for the award-winning BBC3 hit series GAVIN AND STACEY. This is James and Matt’s first sketch show together and was shot by Jeremy Hewson, with Ian Chisholm, Kevin Brown and Nathan Waters making up the camera department. The series was directed by comedy legend Kathy Burke and produced by Ben Cavey.

 

The Peter Serafinowicz Show / Objective Productions

Produced by Peter’s brother James and directed by Becky Martin, location filming for the 2nd series of this popular sketch show began shooting around London. DOP, Jamie Cairney lensed whilst Charlie Dailey and Tom Vincent assisted him.

 

Hotel Trubble / CBBC

Top Gear series 2 - 12 / BBC - 2002 to present


Electra have just completed filming series 12 of this ever popular BBC series, concluding with the incredible ‘Vietnam’ film.  
Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May travel the world ‘larking about’ with cars, these men have the best jobs in television!
Classic films include: Harriers, Space Shuttles, Bugatti Racing a Plane, Amphibious Vehicles, Road Trips to the US, Botswana and Japan, Channel Crossing and the North Pole Special.
The main cameramen over the years have been Ben Joiner, Casper Leaver, Iain May, Toby Wilkinson and Dan De Castro.

 

Justin Lee Collins: On A Mission / Tiger Aspect Productions

Will Yapp ( producer/director/DOP ) headed off with a Sony HDW750 camera kit with presenter Justin Lee Collins on another ‘mission’. They travelled the four corners of the globe; London, Mexico, Bristol and…….Blackpool!?!?!

The Story of Comic Relief / BBC Entertainment Projects

A new ’talking heads’ BBC programme, charts the success story of Comic Relief, from it’s conception, to the huge phenomenon it has become. It was produced and directed by Lucy Kenwright. Jeremy Hewson lit the film with Stuart Piggott recording sound.

DOP Jon Wood and sound recordist David Ferguson worked with director Molly Matheson on a moving documentary following a family as one of their members copes with Alzheimers.

Using the latest Panasonic HPX 3700 P2 Varicam camera, The Edge Picture Company have recently produced a fantastic film for Aviva.
Moving forward to solid state recording enables increased picture quality, and a streamlined workflow resulting in beautiful HD programmes.

 

Jaguar / Tangerine Films



One of Electra's busiest D.O.Ps; Steve Albins, has completed the stunning new “Hush’ commercial for the Jaguar XF shot on 35mm on this co-production with Tangerine films and Euro RSCG New York.
After completing the Jaguar XF shoot, Steve and the same team headed off to the South of France for a three day shoot for the launch film of the Jaguar XK R.
With three weeks of modifications and testing prior to the shoot, Steve and the crew started shooting with four Red cameras. The Red cameras were used on a tracking vehicle, on front and rear mounts, a Barcelona car rig and one giro mounted in a helicopter, complete with a commercial 35mm lens package.
